The IfW offers its core program at one location in Senftenberg. The location between Berlin and Dresden is to find easily. The attractive surroundings at the marginal area of the Spreewald offer numerous leisure time possibilities to have fun and to relax.

Senftenberg and the Lusitian cultural landscape

Senftenberg offers Europe's largest artificial lake. Its beauty gives ideal opportunities for surfing, sailing, and swimming. Historical sights, such as the castle museum or the traditional theatre "Neue Bühne" mean a good cultural atmosphere. In Indoor-skiing hall makes fun all over the 365 days a year. Meeting point for friends of motor sports is the most modern racing ring of Europe: the Eurospeedway Lausitz.
